on-line literary journal for CVCC studentsí writing that also showcases

were submitted with a cover sheet including the authorsí names but with no
names attached to the works. We were pleased to receive 53 submissions.
was then evaluated by at least three Polis board members using criteria
established by the board. When debate arose, other board members read the work
The board members spent a great deal of time to launch
this literary journal. They were involved with everything from naming the
journal to evaluating the entries. Without their hard work and dedication, Polis
would not exist.
We hope that Polis will continue to serve as a way to recognize
and share the literary and artistic talents of CVCC students. Enjoy the first
