"Honor holds the Head High"
by Scott Cabaniss

Honor may come from home where one feels safe.
Family plays the role in this way by securing one’s worldly place.

Wherever a person may go and whatever a person may do,
By having high honor, their ethics will remain true.

Honor must be continuously upheld and constantly kept,
For when you least expect, honor can be and will be put to the test.

What comes to your mind when honor comes into question?
Is it how people see you or your own self-discretion?

Like any other thing that you regard as real and right.
A time will come when that will be despised,
And then your foes, you must fight.

Honor has to be defended.
Defended from a person that means you harm
Or the devil that leaves you tempted.

So if life may leave you dwindling and your hopes start to subside.
Follow your faith in God with your head held high,
And your honor, in all that it can be,
Will surely abide.
