Fatal Attraction
by Wesselyn Campbell

I look at you and see a gleam,
And it is not what it seems.
The thoughts that run through my head
Makes me know that something is coming around the bend.

The things that are felt cannot be explained
Why? Because it is insane.
Even though it is tearing at the sides
There is an attraction that wants to hide.

This attraction cannot continue
Because it is known there is no venue.
Hide those thoughts that sneak out at night
Until the time has come and it is right.

Fatal attraction is what it is called
To know that there is nothing to do at all.
One of us will find a fault that seems too high
And cause the other to fall by the wayside.

Unless this fatality comes to an end
There will be no earthly way to mend
The broken hearts that may be caused
By the rifting of these waterfalls.

Find someone that loves you for who you are
And this person will matter to the heart
Remember to love yourself first
And the rest will not be a curse.

Before this fatal attraction comes to an end
Before there is no way to mend
The broken hearts that pass you by
And life starts flashing before your eyes,

Remember to love and never regret
The times that were always spent
By the shallow end of the pool
Reminiscing of the love that had no rule.

This fatal attraction will come to an end
And there will be a way to mend
The broken hearts that are disguised
And nothing will be minimized.
