Somewhere I Belong
by Wesselyn Campbell

When you look around and see
All the things that are missing
You get a sense of insecurity
Mainly because there is no purity.

Why does this place look so familiar?
Like there is nothing out of place.
Why do I feel like I am hiding
Behind something that doesn't have a pretty face?

Meandering looks, gleams, and stares
Gives me the sense that no one really cares
These looks of pure insignificance
Shows that I am not decent.

I found a place where I belong
Where everything is really strong
Some place where I don't have to hide
And that makes me feel good inside.

I found a place where I belong
Where the eagles soar and my life is a song
I found a place where I fit in
Where the birds are singing and my life has a new meaning.

This place is really like no other
Because nothing really matters
You can be whoever you like to be
And no one will want to flee.

A place where there is no pain
A place where there is no rain
A place where you can hide away
And people would want to find you so that you will stay.

This is the place where I belong
And as long as I am here, I will be strong
No one will look down on me
And I will not want to leave.

To all the people that doesn't belong
Keep stepping to the beat of your own song
And soon others will see the light in you
And notice that you are really true.

This is for all the people who think they don't belong.
