About Polis

Polis: a community center (Greek marketplace); a place where a community dialogue occurs; perhaps a sacred ground;

Central Virginia Community College's Literary Journal

Polis accepts submissions of poetry, fiction, nonfiction (including academic essays), and artwork by CVCC students twice a year. When submissions receive contradictory ratings, at least one additional board member reviews the work in question. To view the web version of Polis, visit http://campuspages.cvcc.vccs.edu/POLIS/
