Guesswork
Bradley S. ReesIncongruous, yet inextricably entwined,
Spirit of higher calling steps toward the undefined:
Washed away in seas of doubt, held afloat by drifting mind.
Barrier of reason blocks the way to the divine?
Walking on the astral plane through distance of space and time,
Shallow minds sift through the cracks. Just why?
They can’t define.Hardening hearts at the point of a gun,
Negating true will to benefit one.
The path now is seen in a light like the sun:
Illumination comes from within or from none.
Delusion or daydream? The real or transverse?
The future’s been thrown to the ground with a curse.
Under the wheels of a runaway train;
Inexplicably simple, indescribably plain. So fluid: the motion.
The blind lead: devotion.
Lemmings to the ocean
In suicidal commotion.Corpse of the past, dead in the road,
The Übermensch have dropped their load,
Scattering the seeds they’ve sown,
While lamenting truths
They’ve never known.
