Meditation
Lana VelezLean legs crossed
Hands resting on knees
Palms up
Like leaves balanced
On stones.
Windows frame waves lapping in silence.
Her serene face says
Nothing.
Hunched over
Body shivering
Hands clasped around legs
Like a scared child desperately embracing
A worn teddy bear.
Cold cement walls etched with angry red words.
His haggard face says
Nothing.Suddenly—for a second—
She shutters from the chill;
He feels an indescribable peace.Nothing is Everything;
One is All.
