Beyond the Window
By Andrew Borsay
The young boy looked out his window and wondered to himself when will it ever end? The rain had been falling for hours now and the young boy had been glued to the window in hopes for the slightest ray of sunlight.
Beyond the glass barrier was a world of imagination and adventure. The boy thought of the creepy crawling creatures and the many miniature monsters that made their homes under rocks and in the dirt.
Inside his house trap the boy had food and warmth. He also had toys and games but somehow they seemed invisible to the child’s eye.
It was creation that the boy desired. While he discovered some new insect he would let his mind tell him the most vivid stories; A famous explorer who was first to walk this land or a scientists working to find the rarest spider known to man. Maybe he was treasure hunter lost in the jungle climbing to the top of the highest tree so as to see his way home.
How precious is creation to the young boy that looks out the window? How awesome is it to love life like the young boy who searches for sunlight? Let us hope the child will never forget what a blessing it is, our imaginative minds, our lives, and this beautiful creation.
