Polis Student Designer
- Kathleen Fort
I will receive my degree in Communication Design from
CVCC this May. I will also graduate from Randolph College with a Bachelor’s
degree in Studio Art. I plan to walk in both ceremonies.
My daughter, Elisa, is a 2008 graduate of CVCC, and has since gone on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. My son, Caleb, will graduate from CVCC this May with an Associate’s degree in Welding. He will be just ahead of me in line at our ceremony. My youngest daughter, Margo, is the only one of us who did not attend CVCC.
While I am interested in creativity in all forms, my primary focus is digital design. It is not surprising that the graphic world tools of photography and the four-color commercial print process influence my fine art. I am especially interested in the way computer technology intersects with both fine arts and graphic design.
After graduation, I will move to Blacksburg, Virginia, where I plan to develop my freelance design company, Sassy Horse Design.
