She & i
Kris Collins

i stumble out the door-
kick grass off the ground

Fumble through my thoughts-
discover familiar sounds

Remember why i love-
reminded by the butterflies

i think about her touch-
i can feel the Sunshine

That walk of hers makes me a wolf-
listen to my howl.

Nature feels so good,
here on this 9th cloud

Taste buds stimulated by her scent-
Yes

Our lips form fireworks
when they meet flesh

i write between her lines,
with this pen of pain

Passion burns blue inside,
untamed by cold rain

Among the trees with green leaves-
the sight from atop mountains

We’re free as birds: me and her-
lucky pennies from the fountain

With a smile so bright
and eyes like ice-

How good it is here,
with you in this life

Days end brings orange
but we can see the purple-

Our souls won’t let go,
we hold onto our Circle.
