Poison
Sophia Natasha Perutelli

The sun of your love has already set,
the night is cold, lonely, and wet,
your shadow still lingers in to corner of my eye,
I'm convinced; I'm losing my mind,
You no longer exist in my world,
except for your memory that penetrates inside,
still, loving you despite,
is taking an axe to my pride,
your killing me slowly, deliberate,
if the pain will cease, I welcome it,
please spare me of the poison you call love,
so I may break free, and rise above.
