Snowflakes

Snowflakes falling all around
Frozen tears upon the ground
Dancing through death and decay
Darkness holding life at bay

Shadows shift from dark to light
Always running from the night
Fear is never very far
Wishing for that one bright star

Needing that shimmering ray
Of light to reveal the way
To a heart that will embrace
My souls dark depthless disgrace
