I can’t see what keeps me breathing,
As I watch you leaving…
I wait to hear your call,
As I stare at your picture on my wall…
I still adore you! I can never give in,
I tell you this now! I’ll never feel that pain…
That picture shows a better day,
A day that seems like its miles away…
Life looked so easy way back when,
But it feels hard to accept that it will end…
“If teardrops were pennies,
And heart aches gold…
I’d have more treasures,
Than my pockets would hold…”
Your picture stares at me every night,
I cannot escape its endless sight…
But you’re my hero, someone I seek to be,
No one can understand, what you mean to me!
